“I demonstrate Biblical understanding.”

From “Our Commitments

Almost half of our kids sang their little hearts out in Praise to the Lord at our donor dinner event Tuesday night.

It has been quite the last couple of weeks to say the least! I didn’t get a newsletter written last week as Mrs. McKenzie, Brown and I had just returned from Washington DC after a conference with our Redemptive Ed counterparts. We returned invigorated about what we do and excited to implement some new teaching and behavioral strategies that will improve our school and school culture even that much more!

Our Donor Event was a big success!

Our 2nd annual Fund the Future Donor Dinner this past Tuesday was an evening of entertainment including a “Morning Welcome” by some of our students, live and silent auctions, message from Senator Clint Penzo, and a meal catered by Pasta Grill for 160 potential donors and their families. Dr. Witzke cast the vision for Christian Education and Joshua Academy, and invited our guests to help us “stack some rocks!” Just like God directed the children of Israel to build a monument from stones from the dry ground while they crossed the Jordan, we prayed over river rocks and built tiny monuments at each table, symbolizing provision and blessing on the next phase of Joshua Academy. Generosity showed up and gifted us over and above our $100,000 goal with over $120,000 for our school! Many of these were new donors to our school. We are overwhelmed and filled with gratitude about how these people blessed us! A huge THANK YOU to those of you who donated and also helped serve, plan, set up and clean up after our event.

Moving forward, we will host a Joshua Academy Family Event every Fall to usher in our new year and launch our Annual Giving campaign. We look forward to seeing you ALL at our Fall event.

Thank you for attending Parent/Teacher Conferences

Thank you to our teachers and thank YOU for attending parent/teacher conferences this week. We appreciate our partnership with parents and families as we strive to raise Godly children.

Interviews and more interviews

Pray for our leadership as we begin teacher interviews next week. We have some very strong teacher candidates in our pool and can’t wait to meet them! We will be posting additional announcements for support personnel in the next month or so.

New student interviews begin this month as well. We will be reaching out to families beginning this month based on available space in classrooms. This will be an ongoing process that will continue through the Spring. It all takes time so help us assure your hopeful friends not to fret if they haven’t heard from us yet.
