Joshua Academy is a ministry of Jubilee Church, a non-denominational church located in Van Buren, Arkansas. Jubilee’s mission is to Encourage with the Love of God, Equip with the Word of God, and Empower with the Fullness of God.
Our school was born out of a love for children and a desire to provide families in our area a Christian alternative for their children’s education.

160 students in K-8th grade
119 families representing 38 churches
Class size: 13-20 students (avg: 17)
All classroom teachers are AR certified, 50% have masters degrees
Weekly elementary specials include: music, art, library, PE, life skills; Middle school: choir, creative design, lifeskills, Bible, homesteading, theater, conditioning
Extracurriculars: Archery team, Cross-Country team, 4-H club, yearbook club, community service club

Middle school is taking off and will soon have its own home, nestled in our 5-acre forest! Also in our sights is a new, expansive multipurpose gathering space for family events and PE classes, that will also serve as a storm shelter.

We were awarded a $50,000 Reinvestment Grant from VELA to purchase three yurts!
Grade roll-out plan
We’ll add 9th grade Fall 2026 and will follow our oldest students through 12th grade as they progress. Class size is 20 students or less.
