Our Savior Has Come!
Our first Christmas Program…we praise Jesus!
It seems like we packed more into 18 days of December than in a normal month. We took many field trips, rode the train, made pancakes, had parties, exchanged books, and under the guidance of our music teacher Mrs. Fouts, put on our first Christmas program to a packed house! (find the recording here): Everything about December was rich and full of blessing.
It’s been good, however, to take a breath and refocus during this Christmas break. It’s too easy to let the “frenzy” overshadow the Savior, so let’s take a pause…we are redeemed only because God shared His most precious gift with all of humanity. So today on the Eve of the day we choose to celebrate this gift, we bow at the feet of this tiny baby and say THANK YOU JESUS.
Thank you for your commitment to Joshua Academy in so many ways - by trusting us with your kids, by sowing seed with your time, by donating things we need (large and small), by spreading the word about what we’re doing to serve local families, and most of all, for covering this ministry in prayer.
Pray for our angels to protect us well. Pray for discernment as we “expand our tent.” Pray for wisdom as we admit new students, that we would choose the families that He wants us to serve. Pray that our kids would see Jesus in our staff and would desire to know Him deeply. Pray that the Lord would direct those He blesses financially to see us as worthy recipients of their generosity. And finally, pray for the Board and leadership of our school, that we would keep our eyes firmly focused on Jesus as He directs our steps.
May you and your family be richly blessed this Christmas season and into the New Year!
