We love our Grandparents (and Great-Grandparents!)

This week we experienced LEGACY. We celebrated the goodness of God as we honored our Grandparents (and even some Great-Grandparents)! Over 170 grandparents attended our Goodies with Grandparents event on Thursday. It was incredible to see our sanctuary absolutely packed with people who love these children dearly…grandparents who raised their children with a love for the Lord and who in turn, are raising their own children to also engage deeply in relationship with their Creator in their homes and at Joshua Academy.

I recounted my own relationship with my grandmother who was sure to tell me every time she saw or spoke to me, that she prayed for me daily. There were certainly times in my life when I strayed away from the loving arms of my Father God but I know without question, that her faithful prayers and those of my parents were responsible for me turning back to Him.

Many times in the Bible, God exhorts parents to raise up Godly children. Parents indeed have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, to provide for their physical and spiritual needs, and to teach them to love and serve one another. It’s a high calling!

At Joshua Academy, we partner with families to raise up children who love the Lord with all their hearts. What a privilege, indeed!

WHAT’S COMING UP!

Sep 23 (Mon) - 9-11 am. (2nd/3rd classes ONLY) Van Buren Public Library field trip.

Sep 20 (Fri) - Family chapel, 8-8:30 am.. All family members are welcome to attend every Friday.

Oct. 2 (Wed) - Family lunch (11:15-12:00 K-3rd; 12:00-12:45 4th-7th). Each student may invite 1 family member to bring them lunch and hang out for recess!
