“I demonstrate graceful written communication and perseverance.”
From “Our Commitments”
Mrs. Parker and McKenzie’s class teamed up this week for paragraph and essay writing. It is so encouraging to see these young writers persist through a process that may seem overwhelming at first, to produce something beautiful that they are so proud of!
We really had to practice being flexible and were grateful for sunshine moments this week through the rain and wind! The beauty of what we do is that we’re adaptable. We definitely take advantage of sunshine and dry whenever we can!
Student Interviews have begun!
Teachers have been hired (introductions soon) and new student tours and interviews have begun. The interest in Joshua Academy for year 2 has been incredible! Thank you for spreading the word…it’s by far our best recruiting mechanism. Let prospective families know that we’re filling up fast and that they need to sign up for a tour right away if they want to be considered! We have the most room in 2nd and 6th/7th grades.
Three more field trips coming up!
We’re sneaking in two more field trips for the whole school and an additional one for Mrs. McKenzie’s class. We’ll pick strawberries and learn about agriculture at the Arnold Family Farm on April 25 (permission slip available on the JA app) and will blow off steam at Overtime Fitness (details coming soon). Mrs. McKenzie’s class will wrap up their American History study with a trip to Battlefield State Park in Prairie Grove on May 2nd. We love field trips!
