“I apply cultural and historical understanding and design thinking to solve complex problems!”

This week East and West revealed the major project they have been working on for the past month and wow is it impressive! Coinciding with their study of Indian tribes, they planned and executed the construction of a realistic hut using only natural materials available in our forest. It’s big enough to fit the whole class! Check out the videos here and here. This is a perfect example of our INTEGRAL curriculum and Our Commitments in action! Today they roasted marshmallows in the new fire pit!

We also enjoyed some sun in-between the cold and wet weather which made for a great opportunity for Mrs. Parker’s class (Hidden & Revealed), to interpret a scene from C.S. Lewis’s The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe where the author used descriptive language.
